We are currently working with a client who are seeking 5 experienced Commercial Combined and or Property Underwriters at varying years of underwriting and up to Senior Underwriter. This MGA are really going from strength to strength and there are therefore great opportunities to develop your career within the company.
They are flexible in terms of where candidates may reside, and therefore home-based working would be supported or if there is a local office nearby then this could mean a mixture of both.
This role would a mixture of being desk based and visiting brokers as and when required. The focus of this role will be to develop new business/retaining an existing portfolio looking after commercial combined and or property risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, negotiate and underwrite new & existing business, within their own authority and in line with the company’s strategy and risk appetite.
- Build strong commercial relationships with the region’s major brokers and customers.
- Work alongside colleagues to grow sustainable links to the brokers at all levels.
- Make a significant contribute to the achievement of the Regions Business Plans in growing income whilst maintaining profitability.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- An extensive commercial underwriting experience, with a heavy bias towards property and commercial combined risks.
- A track record of building long term relationships with brokers and underwriting profitable business.
- A confident and influential communicator, at all levels.
- A positive, proactive and driven individual, but a team worker.
Salary dependant on experience is from £35k to £50k, plus some excellent benefits in addition.
