X3 Senior New Business Construction Underwriters - UK Wide (Homeworking and or Office Based)

We are currently working our client who are seeking 3 experienced Senior Construction Underwriters.
They are flexible in terms of where candidates may reside, and therefore home-based working would be supported, or if there is a local office nearby then this could mean a mixture of both. You will be given as standard, empowerment and autonomy with this role, and the tools to develop your career within.
This role would a mixture of being desk based and visiting brokers as and when required. The focus of this opportunity will be to develop new business and building and maintaining intermediary relationships.
You will ned to have previous construction underwriting experience, with works limits in excess of circa £5M and above, be comfortable writing premiums £25K upwards, and have experience across all lines – EL, PL, Works & Plant.

Role Overview & Responsibilities:
- To prepare and provide New Business quotations to Broker Partners based on personal authority limitations.
- Using your skills, you will be responsible for achieving income targets across a range of insurance products and motivating others to do the same.
- Instigate regular dialogue with Broker partners on allocated new business submissions and achieve individual and collective targets.
- Provide accurate and compliant new business quotations in line with pricing levels, risk selection criteria and ensure that income and conversion objectives are achieved.
- Work with Business Development to achieve business growth in accordance with targets whilst underwriting to agreed loss ratios
- Carry out any additional duties as agreed with your Team Leader or Product Manager
- Experience of Construction and Casualty - (to include but not limited to Casualty Combined, Excess Liability, Combined Liability, Land and Property Owners Liability, Tradesman, CAR)
- Understanding of the Broker market & ability to develop effective broker relationships
- Proven understanding of underwriting guidelines for all and ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of market wordings and products.
Salary dependant on experience is from £40k to £50k, plus some excellent benefits in addition.
