Job description
We are currently working with a very reputable Building Warranty company who are currently seeking a Latent Defects Underwriting Manager to join a very well-established team based in North Yorkshire.
Role Responsibilities
- Instigate audit and enforcement systems to show financial compliance in accordance with the FCA.
- Manage and set up controls and monitoring in respect of insurance sales.
- Instigate and manage an underwriting process and procedure for Building Warranties, including the implementation of policies for all Insurance products.
- Cooperation with the administration Manager to ensure the quote and application process in respect of Building Warranties to meet necessary requirements.
- Together with the Technical Manager, instigate and manage a financial and technical checking system of Developers to ensure control of clients.
- In conjunction with the Finance Manager implement controls and monitoring of client money.
- Together with the Technical Manager controls and monitoring systems are in place to ensure nil claims.
- Together with the management team, implement and manage a claims process in accordance with FCA requirements.
- Through the Technical Manager ensure that all inspection and surveying process’s are monitored and controlled.

Qualifications & Experience
- Should hold Corporate Membership of The Chartered Association of Insurance.
- Have a detailed understanding of the FCA requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft office software including emails, calendars, word and excel.
The company are offering an attractive salary dependant on experience up to £55k plus some excellent benefits.
