We are delighted to be working closely with this major insurance business currently looking to provide 2 brand new opportunities for individuals looking to pursue a career as a commercial insurance underwriter.

Although previous commercial insurance experience would be beneficial we are open to applications from all insurance backgrounds; perhaps you’re currently working within personal lines insurance and looking to move into commercial, or maybe you’re currently broking and wanting to move into underwriting? Whichever you are, we’d be happy to hear from you.

In this role you will join an excellent team, providing underwriting support on a wide variety of commercial schemes on a delegated authority basis. This role is interesting and will provide the opportunity to develop your technical insurance knowledge with full support towards CII studies.

On a daily basis you will be assessing commercial risks, calculating premiums etc.; working closely with the broking team, providing underwriting support, liaising with key insurer partners and making underwriting decisions.

The working environment is really good, the office is modern and conveniently located in Leeds City Centre, although there is the option to work partly from home if preferred.
