This is an excellent opportunity, which could suit either an individual with 12 months + commercial insurance experience or perhaps you have some insurance experience and are keen to move into a commercial insurance role with training provided.
Our client is a very successful commercial insurance brokerage conveniently located in Leeds City Centre, a short walk from major transport links. They operate from smart, modern and appealing offices in the heart of the City Centre.
This is a dual role, part broking and part underwriting. You will be part of an excellent team supporting the account executives with their broking requirements, this will include helping with new business submissions, making amendments to existing policies and speaking to insurers to negotiate renewal terms.
Our client has a number of schemes with major insurers, where they have delegated authority to make underwriting decisions. As part of your role, you will be trained to calculate premiums where required using their underwriting authorities.
Previous use of the Acturis system would be beneficial, although not essential and full system training can be provided. Also, progression towards CII qualification will be fully supported by the business, both in terms of financial support and in providing opportunities to revise.
Our client works on a relatively flexible basis and can accommodate hybrid working, currently 3 days in the office and 2 days from home, however, expect to be in the office more often than not to complete the initial training.

This role comes with a basic salary of up to £29k per annum and includes a full and comprehensive benefits package.
