SME Account Manager – South Leeds / Hybrid

Job description
Our client is a high respected and award winning commercial insurance brokerage, based in the South Leeds area. They currently work on the basis of 2 days in the office, 3 days from home, although the office is open if you prefer to be office based. They are also able to provide a flexible working environment to fit in with family commitments.
This is a brand new role, requiring an individual with experience of, and who enjoys dealing with SME commercial clients, generally with premium spends from £4k - £15k per annum. You will be managing your own client portfolio, which has a combined brokerage income of around £100k.
In this role you will be doing a little bit of new business broking, but mainly dealing with existing clients, making amendments, marketing and negotiating renewals, and building client relationships with a focus on client retention.
Ideal applicants will have previous SME commercial insurance experience, strong communication skills, be highly organised and with good attention to detail. Previous use of Acturis would be beneficial and full support will be provided towards CII qualifications.
This role is primarily desk based, with most client communication being telephone or video conferencing based; there may be the occasional need to visit a client, but this would be rare.
