Senior Corporate Broker / Director – North West / Home Based

Our client is a highly regarded independent commercial insurance brokerage based in the Manchester area. They have been established for nearly 50 years and have grown very nicely over that period, without wanting to be over ambitious. They have focused on building a loyal client following based on the quality of service that they provide and they boast an enviable client retention and a low staff turnover.

As they grow, they have continued to pick up larger and larger corporate cases, some quite technically complex and as such require a Senior Broker / Director able to comfortably handler larger and more challenging risks.

This role will require working closely with the MD and the Account Directors providing support on the larger cases (premium spends into the £millions), putting together new business submissions, designing insurance programmes, dealing with ongoing enquiries and marketing and negotiating renewals. You will also be able to act as a technical referral point to the lesser experienced staff.

Ideal applicants will have at least 5 + years commercial / corporate insurance experience, be strong communicators with a solid all round knowledge of most classes of commercial insurance. This role will require that you have a good market knowledge and established contacts across the insurer market.

Although based in Manchester, our client is flexible in terms of candidate location. For those applicants in the Manchester area, they tend to operate on a part home / part office basis. However, they are more than comfortable appointing an individual working entirely from home and not necessarily based in Manchester.

Previous Acturis experience would be a beneficial, although they are more than happy to provide system training to non-users. They will also provide full support towards CII studies. This role comes with an excellent salary and benefits package to the correct individual.
