Our client is a major insurance brokerage, based in Leeds City centre and currently has a job opening available for a senior commercial broker / account handler to join the team. This role is based in Leeds City centre, however, there is plenty of flexibility in terms of working partly from home, partly from the office.
In this role, you will be working closely with the Account Executives, assisting them in managing a loyal client portfolio made up of general commercial cases of varying technical complexity. Although predominately desk based, there will be plenty of opportunities to attend client visits with the Account Executives to further establish relationships.
On a day to day basis you will be speaking to new clients, working on submissions, assisting existing clients, making amendments, taking a lead on renewal marketing and negotiations etc. This will involve lots of day to day communication with both clients and insurers as well as working closely with a team of in house DA underwriters on speciality scheme related business.
This role requires an individual with at least 3 years commercial insurance broking experience, ideally with a good all round knowledge of most classes of commercial insurance, excellent attention to detail and great communication skills; previous use of Acturis would be advantageous and support towards CII studies will be provided.
