Job description
Our client is a highly reputable insurance brokerage with various branches in the Yorkshire area; this is a brand new role which has been created due to growth and requires applicants with a good all round knowledge of most classes of commercial insurance. There is flexibility in terms of the specific location, you can report to the most conveniently located branch (plus there is a some home / office flexibility).
In this role, you will be joining an excellent team, headed up by a highly respected Branch Director (well known for developing staff and providing excellent career progression).
You will support the Account Executives working on mid-market to larger corporate clients, some of which will provide an excellent technical challenge.
You will be dealing with new business, compiling submissions and negotiating with insurers, assisting existing clients with changes to policies and taking a lead in marketing and negotiating renewals. Client premiums could be anywhere from £30k to £500k and above.
In terms of career progression, our client is keen to promote from within and can provide excellent opportunities going forward; perhaps you have a long-term goal to develop into an account executive or into a management position.
Full support will be provided where training and development is concerned including full financial support towards CII qualification.
Ideal applicants will have a minimum of 3 years commercial broking experience, be smart, professional and committed to providing and exceptional level of service to clients.
