If you are an experienced P&C Underwriter with a flair for writing and developing new business development manager who is looking for a new exciting career opportunity with an exceptional MGA/company, then this could be an ideal career move.
This role will be based out of their Head Office being in Essex (some hybrid working) where you will not be micromanaged, and a great deal of autonomy would be provided. In additional you will be provided with additional support from senior management team to ensure you can maximise every possible opportunity to being successful in performing this role to its full potential.
Due to the company going through a significant growth and development programme this is an ideal time to be joining the business where you’ll work the broker markets within the South and surrounding areas.
Our client has been trading successfully for nearly 20 years and all of their products offered are placed with carefully selected Insurers (Including Lloyds) where the company has built solid relationships to negotiate the best possible products for its partners.
They are looking for a broker orientated and detail focused Underwriter to develop both new relationships and existing ones. The role will include underwriting new and renewal business for a product suite consisting of commercial combined, property owners, retail package, primary liability, contract works, contractors’ plant and equipment.
The role will be a fantastic opportunity for someone who likes variety and flexibility to manage their own time.
EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
- Experience in dealing with Commercial brokers/ Insurers
- Proven track record of developing new and existing relationships with key brokers
- Ability to deliver on financial targets
- Ability to work in as a team and on own initiative
- Excellent organisation skills & communication skills
- Passion for detail & A ‘can do’ attitude
- Effective time management
Dependent on experience, the basic salary is from £40K to £55k with excellent additional staff benefits, including Bonus, Pension, 45 pence per mile.
