A fantastic new opportunity has arisen to work for a leading Global insurance company who are seeking a London Market Senior Account Manager.
You will be looking after some of their major broker accounts all based in the City of London, and the company will accommodate hybrid working, so 2 to 3 days home working and the other days either being in the London office or being out seeing the broker panel.
You will be looking after an large existing portfolio of insurance intermediaries focusing on retention, and also new business development.
This is opportunity requires someone to be sales focused and ideally has existing broker relationships within the City of London, or it could suit someone wishing to make the next step up (working with Key Accounts which would include National Brokers) that is based out of area but resides in and around the Southeast.
It is essential that you have previous commercial insurance experience from either an Account Manager/BDM or Development Underwriter background, or both. You will be given flexibility and a lot of autonomy, and it would ideally suit someone who has a proactive approach, very effective negotiator/communicator, and is comfortable being in a sales environment working to sales targets set by management. In return, you will be provided with additional support from senior management and a strong team of underwriters to ensure you can maximise every possible opportunity to being successful in performing this role to its full potential.
Within the role you will be required to:-
- Proactively develop strong relationships with a designated panel of brokers, taking full ownership for the generation of profitable business
- Prepare, design, implement and review agreed development plans
- Undertake profit reviews to identify areas for improvement and lead conversations with brokers to agree actions to optimise profitability. Support underwriters with rate actions as necessary
- Plan, forecast and set the operational targets (including the budget and the financial model) to achieve the strategic development plan
- Prospect potential new opportunities and markets. Identify new deals, assess feasibility and project manage the implementation of new deals
- Proactively develop a robust pipeline of appropriate new business opportunities and ensure that long-term pipeline is realised by ensuring broker / client engagement
- Use effective coaching skills to improve the sales capability of the branch and support others to improve the profitability of their relationships with brokers.

- Attractive basic salary £50k to £70k
