Job description
This is a brilliant opportunity, which has opened up due to internal promotions. A significant and very loyal client portfolio has become available to be inherited (the current AE has been promoted into a management position), and as such, this portfolio will not be under attack at any point.
Ideal applicants will have previous commercial insurance experience, with a good all round knowledge of most classes of business. The account is made up primarily of larger SME to mid-market risks, which requires an individual who enjoys to be busy and likes to be speaking to a wide range of clients on a daily basis.
The majority of your clients will require client facing relationship building, however, a small proportion can be transacted by telephone or video conferencing. As well as managing the existing book, you will be expected to be always on the lookout for a new business growth opportunity, whether that be getting referrals from existing clients or reacting to incoming leads etc.
Ideal applicants will currently be in either an Account Executive position, or, our client is not adverse to taking on a Junior Account Executive or an experienced broker, who feels ready to step up into a full Account Executive position.
This is a home based role, so you will be provided with a home office set up, full benefits includes generous car allowance and an expenses account. All administrative support will be provided by the teams at their Yorkshire based HQ, which includes brokers, claims, underwriting etc.
In terms of remuneration, you can either be salaried or commissions only; the commission only route is more lucrative, or you can be salaried and move onto commission only, once you’ve settled in and got to know your clients.
