Our client is quality Leeds based independent insurance brokerage; they have a very low staff turnover and provide an excellent working environment. They are moving into brand new state of the art offices and are very much in growth mode at present.

This is a Group Head of SME Insurance role, managing 10 + SME brokers / account handlers across 4 Yorkshire branches dealing predominantly with clients with an annual premium spend of up to £5k, all general commercial clients including a unique specialist scheme.

As Group Head, as well as handling a small portfolio of clients, you will be responsible to for the day to day running of the team, reporting to the regional managing director. You will be responsible for ensuring that the team is performing to a consistently high level in terms reacting to new enquiries, managing existing clients and retaining a high % at renewal.

You will be involved in the recruitment process as the team grows and will be required to identify training and development within the team.

Ideal applicants will have a good all round commercial insurance knowledge and previous experience managing a process oriented team, whilst maintaining high level of customer service. ACII or progress towards; CII studies will be fully supported. Previous use of Acturis would be preferred.
