Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the company’s Birmingham city centre office is a Corporate Account Manager.
Hybrid working would also be an option.
This National Broker opportunity would be to work closely with the team of existing Commercial Account Handlers, senior management, and also the client facing team.
This is a fantastic role where they have exciting plans in place, and it is therefore key that you are enthusiastic, and want to be a key member of the team and to achieve its ambitious growth plans.
You will have experience of working as an Account Handler (ideally dealing with Corporate and global clients) and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of excellent customer service, skills of negotiation, broking and market awareness. You will ensure standards of service to customers are in accordance to those laid down by the company along with FCA regulatory rules and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in renewal process, preparation of submission and the gathering of information
- Obtain renewal terms for customers and identify potential alternative quotations before producing presentations for account executives to discuss with customers
- Prepare documentation for existing customers in relation to renewals and mid-term adjustments in partnership with management
- Follow up on quotations and lend support to Brokers
- Prepare renewal closings from renewal meeting minutes and ensure cover bound by renewal date
- Deal with Insurer queries in relation to customer policies
- Deal with general account queries, and ensure that they are resolved efficiently
About you:
- Good knowledge of general insurance (London Market / Lloyd’s and Industry) products, services, classes of insurance including underlying legal principles and practices relating to risk within own role capacity – Knowledge of global placements and mechanics desirable
- Demonstrable previous experience within Account Handling role
- Evidence of effectively prioritising risks to manage concurrent workflow
- Good knowledge of client market and insurance industry network
- Excellent client service focus
- Able to identify potential risks/issues and seek advice/consultation when required
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent planning and analytical skills
- Flexibility to attend client meetings when required.
Basic salary up to £40K, and a comprehensive benefits package which includes a generous pension, Bonus, PMI and holiday entitlement.
