Contact Manager / Development Executive – West Yorkshire
Posted: 17 January 2022
Job description
Fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic West Yorkshire based insurance brokerage in a development oriented role, working closely with the MD and in tandem with the Account Executive team.
As “Contact Manager” you will have a wide variety of key responsibilities, assisting the branch MD with designing and implementing the new business strategy. The primary focus is on developing new commercial insurance opportunities both generally and in terms of a number of exclusive schemes.
Key areas of focus will include analysing and reviewing the existing prospect database, making sure that it’s kept up to date with accurate information and to ensure that the relevant data is distributed to the team, progress monitored and outcomes logged onto the system. As well as this you will be working closely with the team to create marketing literature and e-campaigns in relation to varying specialist product lines, providing follow up communications with potential clients.
You will also be encouraged to be involved in networking groups, attend marking events, engage with the local chamber of commerce etc.
This is a key role which requires a team effort; although it is essentially the responsibility of the contact manager to create new opportunities; the results will be judged on a team basis, with each component within the team delivering as part of the overall effort.
Applicants will have relevant experience, ideally gained within the insurance industry, although we are more than happy to hear from individuals in similar B2B development orientated roles within other professional sectors. Key attributes in this role are a “development oriented” nature, “creative flare” and an interest in marketing, and strong communication skill and the ability to spot new opportunities.
This role comes with an excellent basic salary of up to £40k + comprehensive benefits, commission and the opportunity to work towards a more senior role within the business. ACII studies will be fully supported and funded.
