Commercial Underwriter - North Yorkshire

Job description

We are currently working with one of the UK's leading insurance networks where this role would be based in their North Yorkshire operation.

You will be responsible for underwriting their commercial insurance renewal business account including MTA's. There is great scope for career progression within this role which will give you autonomy and freedom on developing and maintaining key intermediary relationships within this region where you will be encouraged to attend broker visits as and when required. 

The role will focus on you becoming an integral part of the team, liaising and speaking to your fellow colleagues on a regular basis to maximise cross selling opportunities where possible. Ideal candidates will have previous experience within a commercial combined; possibly liability and have previously built and maintained key broker relationships. 

You will also need to demonstrate that you have drive, self motivation and determination to achieve results, outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. In addition to this, you will also need to be a team player but also be able to work under your own initiative. 

ACII or progression towards this would be advantageous.
