Commercial SME Broker / Desk Based Account Executive

Our client, a quality chartered insurance brokerage, currently have a number of exciting job opportunities available within their commercial SME team. This is a high quality insurance brokerage with a great reputation and a low staff turnover. They are well known for providing an environment with genuine long-term career progression.
These brand new roles offer you the chance to join a rapidly expanding team dealing with mainly SME clients with annual premiums spends of up to £10k , however, there are plenty of incoming enquiries for larger, more technically complex cases paying up to £50k, which you will have the opportunity to deal with.
The vast majority of cases will be general commercial, although there are also a number of schemes for professional risks, PI, D&O etc. You will be speaking with clients on a regular basis, marketing risks and building excellent relationships with the insurer market (composites, Lloyds and specialist markets)
There are currently roles within the new business team (all incoming enquiries…no cold calling) and within the renewals team (dealing exclusively with existing clients).
Roles within the renewals team will involve you speaking to clients and insurers on a regular basis, providing quotations, making amendments, marketing and negotiation of renewal terms etc.

Ideal applicants will have had some exposure to commercial insurances, whether that be broking or underwriting, however, we will be happy to consider applications from experience private client insurance professionals looking to move into commercial insurance.
