Commercial SME Broker / Account Handler – Hybrid Working / Full or Part-Time

Job description
This is an excellent opportunity to join an independent insurance brokerage in the South Leeds area. They primarily specialise in SME and smaller commercial and scheme based products; the environment is busy and enjoyable with lots of flexibility and the opportunity to work on a part office, part home basis.
In this role you will handle your own client portfolio, allocated to you and with a main focus on dealing with existing clients, making mid-term adjustments and amendments and marketing and negotiating renewals. There will be an element of “new business”, which will be providing quotations for incoming enquiries. There may also be a requirement to assist the Account Executives on the larger cases. You will have regular contact with clients and insurers, so being a good communicator is vital.
Ideal applicants will have at least 2 years commercial broking or account handling experience and a good all round knowledge of most classes of business. They would also welcome applications from private client / personal lines brokers looking to step up into a commercial insurance role.
Previous use of Acturis would be beneficial, although not essential. Full system training can be provided.
There are currently two roles available, one full-time and another opening for someone looking to work either 3 or 4 days a week; there is plenty of parking available.
