Job description

Great opportunity to join a quality and long established independent insurance brokerage, with their HQ conveniently located in Manchester City Centre. They are a commercial insurance business with a significant focus on PI, professions and Science & Technology and all associated commercial risks.

This particular role sits within the underwriting team focusing on numerous schemes working with delegated authority with some key insurer partners. This is a busy and enjoyable team environment with lots of activity. You will be working closely with the broking and account executive team, providing new quotations, underwriting renewals, making amendments. This role will involve you analysing risks, calculating premiums and making underwriting decisions.

Where a risk doesn’t quite fit or refers, you will be speaking to the insurer partners to discuss the each case and to find a solution. 

Ideal applicants will come from either a broking or an underwriting background, preferably with exposure to PI and professions business. You will be professional, well organised and with a keen eye for detail, a strong communicator and looking to join a quality business.

Although the role is predominately office based, our client is keen to work with an element of flexibility and is able to accommodate those looking to work partly from home.

This role comes with an excellent basic salary, up to circa £36k and a comprehensive benefits’ package.
