This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK’s most well respected independent commercial insurance brokerages, based from their West Yorkshire office. This business has been established for over 100 years and continues to grow, mainly organically, based on their ethos of providing an exceptional level of service to their clients.
You will be joining a great team, very friendly and professional, currently working on a part home, part office basis. In this role you will handle a wide variety of commercial claims (group wide) from inception through to settlement, working closely with the client to reach the best possible outcome. You will be liaising with all parties including insurers and loss adjuster.
Our client is keen to appoint an individual who is inclined to take ownership of claims, able to interpret policy wording, and not afraid to challenge insurers where necessary in order to reach the best possible outcome for the client.
Although this role is mainly desk based, there may be situations where you need to attend client meetings with the Account Executives to discuss claims / claims prevention.
Ideal applicants will come from a broking claims background with a good all round insurance knowledge and experience handling a wide variety of commercial claims. We are, however, also happy to receive applications from those of you with an insurer or loss adjusting background.
Progress towards CII qualification would be beneficial and will be fully supported. Previous use of Acturis would also be advantageous to your application (system training can be provided).
