This is a brand new role for a “Commercial Broking Manager” to lead and grow a team of brokers / handlers dealing with general commercial clients, mainly new business oriented (all incoming enquiries, no cold calling or prospecting). These clients could have annual premium spends from £500 to £50k and across all commercial classes of business. You will be dealing with the open market, key insurer partners, schemes and London markets.
In this role, you will be leading a team, providing support to direct reports, monitoring and analysing activity / workflow, identifying areas for improvement and training and organising this, and working with the Directors with respect to client management and growth strategies. Aside from these management responsibilities, you will be dealing with some of the larger cases, providing technical support where required and generally leading by example.
Applicants will have at least 5 years commercial insurance experience, ideally gained within a broking environment, with previous management or team leadership duties (or deputy manager and looking to move up a level), a good all round knowledge of most classes of commercial insurance; progress towards CII qualification and previous use of Acturis is also desirable.
This role comes with an excellent salary of up to £45k + full benefits package + bonus incentives.
