Our client is a dynamic insurance business with multiple branches across the North of England. They are very much in growth mode and have been recruiting talent regularly despite the Covid crisis and continue to do so.

They have recently decided to set up an “Account Executive Academy” to provide commercial account handlers, brokers and underwriters with an opportunity to develop a career with a focus on working towards client facing account executive status.

This role would initially be “desk based” dealing with smaller commercial insurance clients, with premiums spends of up to £10k, predominantly with a focus on new business. This could be incoming leads and new business enquiries as well as utilising existing data in order to generate new business opportunities. You will also be fully supported in pursuing your CII qualification and will be able to attend training courses, shadow account executives on client visits etc.

Ideally we are looking for ambitious individuals able to take a dynamic approach, joining networking groups, using LinkedIn and other online resources to generate additional new business prospects. You will have access to the open market + a lot of schemes and specialist insurers. You will be doing your own broking, developing insurer relationships and retaining your clients as part of your portfolio.

As you develop your skills and technical knowledge it is anticipated that within 12 to 24 months you should be ready to deal with clients on a face to face basis and start to deal with larger, more complex commercial clients.

Applicants will need to have at least 12 months commercial insurance experience, be dynamic and ambitious, new business oriented and with excellent communication skills, not afraid to “ask for the business”.
