Job description
Dynamic commercial insurance brokerage, very conveniently based in Leeds City Centre, walking distance from major bus and train stations currently requires an additional commercial broker / account handler to join the team.
The working environment is excellent; a modern and appealing office location and a team of quality professionals with a good social connection, regular team evenings out etc.
The role would involve joining a team of experienced brokers and account handlers providing support to a national network of account executives and dealing with a wide variety of commercial clients ranging from relatively straight forward commercial policies to larger, more technically complex cases.
You will be using Acturis system (previous experience preferred but not essential) and will have regular contact with the account executives, clients and insurers as well as working closely with a team of internal delegated authority underwriters. You will be involved in new business presentations, mta’s and renewal negotiations. Although the role is office based, it is likely that you will be able to attend client visits with the AE’s from time to time.
Progress towards CII qualifications would be preferred and will be fully supported.
Ideal applicants will have at least 2 years commercial insurance experience, preferably gained in a broking environment, however, we are happy to receive applications from underwriters looking to move into broking.
