Posted: 18 January 2024
Job description
A new and exciting Commercial Account Manager/Broker opportunity has arisen due to growth within the business working from the company’s Leeds City Centre operation.
This brokerage is one of the most progressive intermediaries operating in the UK today where they are currently going through a significant growth plan and developing new regional hubs throughout England. They are a very client focused organisation specialising in many bespoke insurance schemes and products, together with your run of the mill general insurance risks. There is currently a big drive within the company this year and it is therefore a very good and exciting time to be joining this organisation.
This opportunity would ideally suit someone looking to kick start their career after 2- or 3-years broking in the industry where you could make massive strides to push your career to the next level.
This role as Commercial Account Manager will be working with their Directors & Account Directors/Executives where you would be responsible for your own sizable portfolio of clients, having regular contact with the account executives, negotiating new business broking strategies and obtaining the best possible terms from the marketplace. You will be the 1st point of contact for the client on technical matters, overseeing the whole renewal process from start to finish; processing MTA’s/changes to the risk/policies and attending clients visits when necessary.
You will need to have a good/reasonable understanding of the various commercial insurance markets and their underwriting guidelines/capacities.
There will also be the need to go out with the Account Directors to meet your commercial clients face to face, which in turn will build a long and trusted relationship with them.
Excellent remuneration/package is rewarded in return and circa £30K possibly more, excellent benefits, CII exams paid for, along with career support and a development programme so that you can progress within the organisation if desired.
