An excellent opportunity has arisen to work for a new independent commercial brokerage based in the city of London. They have a local presence in and around the South of England providing a personal service to all of their clients developing new business opportunities through recommendations, referrals via their IFA sector, servicing all types of SME to medium size enterprise businesses.
This position offers successful candidates to really learn and develop their skills within a commercial insurance environment working with General Commercial risks, working closely with their Senior Directors. The role will include mainly internal work and some external client visits where necessary. There would also be a succession plan in place if desired to move to a full time external role going forward and servicing your client bank, although initially this will be a Commercial Account Handler/Broking role and someone with a safe pair of hands that can fully engage with the client portfolio.
Ideal candidates should have minimum 2 to 3 years commercial insurance experience and be currently either working within a broking environment. This role would offer a great opportunity for less experienced candidates to make the "next step up" and make a real impact within a smaller office environment. It is essential that you can communicate well at all levels and also have a can-do attitude and be proactive in your approach. The role with include presenting risks to the insurer markets and building and maintaining underwriter relationships to ensure you are getting the best deals/terms for the client.
This brokerage has the financial backing of a lucrative corporate Sister company, and the commercial insurance division have been trading successfully for 12 months with excellent results. There would also be remote working and flexibility after COVID if someone requires to be in the office and/or a mixture of home working.
