Job description
An excellent new opportunity has arisen working for this brokerage within their Wakefield operation. This company are a leading insurance and risk management intermediary with client portfolio’s ranging from small owner-managed business to Mid-Corporate insurance portfolios.
This role as commercial account handler would be working within their commercial team where you would be responsible for your own portfolio of clients, having regular contact with the account executives, negotiating broking strategies, and obtaining the best possible terms from the marketplace. You will be the 1st point of contact for the client on technical matters, overseeing the whole renewal process from start to finish; processing MTA’s/changes to the risk/policies and attending clients visits when necessary. This opportunity would also include new business where there is an extremely attractive bonus structure in place with high earning potential.
Ideally you will need to have a good understanding of the various commercial insurance markets and their underwriting guidelines/capacities, are competent and technically strong on most classes of commercial insurance. It is therefore essential that you can communicate at all levels and have previously worked within a broking/intermediary environment and or commercial broking/account handler role.
Please also note that if you are an experienced account handler/broker, or if you have a few year’s experience and are looking to develop further within the industry then both may apply for this role.
