Job description
Our client is a fiercely independent commercial insurance brokerage based in Newcastle. They are long established and able to provide a secure working environment with some flexibility.
They currently have a role available within their commercial broking team, dealing with a wide variety of general commercial clients ranging from SME, small, more straightforward policies, to larger mid-market and some larger corporate cases where you will support the Account Executives. As an account handler, you will mainly be working on existing clients, making amendments to policies, marketing and negotiating renewals, speaking to clients and insurers on a daily basis.
To a lesser extent, you may be assisting with potential new business, where a lead is incoming, or compiling and negotiating terms on behalf of the Account Executive team.
Ideal applicants will have previous commercial insurance experience, preferably gained within a broking environment. You will be a strong communicator, well organised and able to work as part of a team. Our client is keen to appoint an individual with a natural inclination to provide an exceptional level of customer service.
