Job description

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected independent commercial insurance brokerage in a commercial account handler / broker role. Our client has a very high client retention and a low staff turnover. This role has become available due to the retirement of a longstanding member of staff.

In this role you will be supporting an Account Executive looking after an existing book of clients across many different commercial classes with annual premium spends between £2k and £60k. You will mainly be dealing with exiting clients, making policy amendments, marketing, negotiating and preparing renewals and there will be a small amount of new business, compiling submissions etc.

This roles requires an organised individual with a positive outlook with great attention to detail, able to work well in a team environment and with the natural inclination to provide exceptional customer service.

Although ideal applicants will have a commercial insurance background, we are more than happy to speak to personal lines brokers looking to step into a commercial insurance role.

In this role you will be liaising with clients and insurers on a daily basis; although mainly office based, there may be opportunities to visit clients with the AE from time to time
