Job description
Our client is a highly respected independent insurance brokerage with branches throughout the UK. They have recently undergone a rebranding exercise and are now keen to push on with growing the business in the Yorkshire area.
Although there may be some clients to inherit, this role would involve growing your own client portfolio across a broad range of industry sectors, all of which you would retain as part of your client portfolio.
Although this is initially a development oriented role, they are keen to appoint a consultative “Client Advocate” as opposed to a “sales person”. They prefer to focus on quality, not numbers and would prefer to have a candidate looking to be the “go to person” locally. In terms of lead generation, you will be provided with in house telesales, access to an incredibly fruitful networking relationship producing a good quantity of quality leads + investment in marketing, adverts in editorials, brand development and local support initiatives.
Ideal applicants will have relevant experience working within the commercial insurance sector and with a broad knowledge of most classes of commercial insurance including key areas such as manufacturing, construction, evolving industries, owner led businesses etc.
Full back office support will be provided in terms of broking and admin + you will have access to all major insurer markets + specialist markets and some exclusive schemes.
Essentially, our client is keen to appoint a professional individual able to develop long-term client relationships. Progress towards ACII would be preferred and will be fully supported. Previous use of Acturis would be beneficial but is not essential.
Our client is keen to promote flexible working and therefore is more than comfortable supporting regular home working.
