This is a rare opportunity to inherit a significant portfolio of loyal commercial clients due to the retirement of a longstanding Account Executive. The portfolio is made up of a wide and interesting range of general commercial insurance clients, which have been with the business for many years.

Although based in Leeds, there is a flexible approach to working from home, allowing you the autonomy to focus on the role and maintain regular client contact on a face to face basis. You will be supported by an excellent team of brokers, account handlers and claims technicians based at HQ.

Ideally, the successful applicant will join the business with the intention of being involved in a smooth handover process, initially visiting clients with the incumbent, before taking over the entire portfolio on a permanent basis.

Applicants will have a proven track record in dealing successfully with existing clients, maintaining a high level of client retention and with a focus on long-term client relationships. There will be very little involvement with new business, however, you will be expected to work on incoming enquiries from time to time.

You will have a good all round knowledge of most classes of commercial insurance, be a smart, professional and dynamic individual with a natural instinct to go above and beyond on behalf of your clients. Progress towards CII qualifications would be beneficial and will be fully supported.
