BDM / Broker Relationship Manager – Home Based (North of England)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join highly regarded national insurance business in a “Relationship Management” role. This is a home based role covering the North of England, the larger concentration of broker clients being in and around the Yorkshire area, with a handful further South and a very small amount of activity in Scotland.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing a panel of existing broker and insurer relationships, assisting them, strategically, in developing their client portfolio, working consultatively to understand the needs of each partner in order to deliver account growth via placement of gross written premium.
Key elements to this role include developing strong relationships with partner brokers, understanding their business goals and strategies and assisting in the delivery of appropriate support, products and services. You will be meeting with broker and insurer partners on a regular basis to assist in planning, execution and to monitor growth activities including marketing and sales. You will liaise with the management team where necessary to flag problems and opportunities, and introduce new opportunities where appropriate.
Ideal applicants with have a good all round knowledge of general insurance, preferably commercial insurance biased, with excellent communication skills, comfortable working in a client facing capacity. You will be able to work with data, able to understand and decipher statistics, be commercially savvy, well organised, able to influence and self-motivated.

This opportunity comes with a salary of circa £50k (flexible dependent on experience) + car allowance and a full and comprehensive benefits package.
