This is a new and exciting Business Development /Account Manager opportunity to work for one of the UK’s leading insurance companies where you’ll work the broker markets in Yorkshire and the North of England.
You will be looking after an existing portfolio of insurance intermediaries focusing on retention and new business development.
This is a Business Development Manager opportunity which requires someone to be sales focused and ideally has existing broker relationships within the geographical area, and where you’ll be based in Yorkshire or Lancashire.
It would be beneficial that you have previous commercial insurance experience from either a broking or insurer background, or both. You will be given flexibility and a lot of autonomy and it would ideally suit someone who has a proactive approach and is comfortable being in a sales environment working to sales targets set by management. In return, you will be provided with additional support from senior management and a strong team of underwriters to ensure you can maximise every possible opportunity to being successful in performing this role to its full potential.
Within the role you will be required to:-
- Prospecting, including utilising and growing CRM pipeline
- Planning and delivering agreed activity levels, ensuring CRM accurately reflects planned and actual activity
- Delivering a high quality sales process
- Driving profitable new business growth
- Driving performance and profitability of Broker panel
- Supporting renewal process
- Meeting retention and new business targets
- Proactively engage broker community using CRM pipeline
