This is a fantastic and unique commercial broking role, which will appeal to those of you who enjoy placing risks, negotiating with insurers and building broker / insurer relationships, and with minimal regulatory administrative duties.
Based from Leeds City Centre, but with the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis, you will be joining an excellent team, headed up by a very popular and supportive regional manager, who is committed to creating a working environment that is fun, rewarding and very team oriented.
A major part of this role will be “relationship management “oriented and will involve you establishing and developing key broker and insurer relationships, with occasional client visits and meetings with underwriting partners at Lloyds of London, therefore, it is important that you have good communication skills and enjoy this part of the role.
You will be dealing with a wide range of commercial risks, ranging from SME through to larger mid-market and occasionally cases with premiums in the several £100k’s. These will often by slightly unusual risks or those with an element of technical complexity which require a certain level of expertise and market knowledge to place.
Applicants will have at least 2 + years commercial broking or account handling experience and a good all round knowledge of most classes of commercial insurance, progress towards CII qualifications would be beneficial and will be fully supported, however not essential. Also, previous use of Acturis system is desirable.
This role comes with an excellent basic salary of up to circa £45k per annum + a comprehensive benefits package and genuine long-term career development.
