Job description
Our client is an ambitious chartered independent broker based on the outskirts of Leeds. They are conveniently located with plenty of parking, although currently operating a Covid friendly flexible home / office working arrangement.
Despite this challenging period, they are still looking to grow and have recently appointed a number of account executives, which has created a brand new opening for an experienced commercial broker / account handler to join the team.
You will deal with a wide variety of commercial cases, ranging from smaller relatively straight forward commercial risks through to larger more technical complex clients with significantly larger annual premium spends.
The role will require you to compile new business submissions, work with existing clients looking to amends policies and marketing and negotiating renewals. You will be dealing with the open market, specialist markets and Lloyds.
Although client visitations are currently limited, there will be plenty of opportunity to shadow the account executives on client visits once things get back to normal.
Ideal applicants will have at least 2 years commercial broking experience and have a good all round knowledge of most classes of commercial insurance. Progress towards CII studies would be preferred and will be fully supported. Previous use of Acturis would also be useful although not essential.
