Job description
This is a great opportunity to join a fiercely independent chartered insurance brokerage, based in the Leeds area. This role has been created purely as a result of the impressive growth that they have achieved and to accommodate their exciting plans for 2025.
You will be joining an excellent team, supporting a national network of Account Executives, broking risks on behalf of a wide spectrum of commercial clients, making amendments to existing policies and marketing and negotiating renewal terms. The majority of cases will be mid-market to corporate, premiums from £15k to £250k (no SME).
In this role, you will be liaising regularly with the clients and insurers, so it is essential that you enjoy the communication side of the role. Our client uses Acturis system; previous use of Acturis would be beneficial, however, if you haven’t already used this system, full training can be provided. You will also have a good level of administrative skills, able to prioritise work with great attention to detail and to work well as part of a team.
Ideal applicants will have previous experience working as a commercial account handler or as a broker, preferably for at least 2+ years. Study towards or willingness to study towards CII qualifications would be preferred and ongoing studies will be fully supported, both in terms of financially and in providing opportunities for you to enhance your technical knowledge via insurer workshops etc.
They currently work on a hybrid basis, 3 days in the office and 2 days from home; the office is modern and appealing and conveniently located with plenty of parking available.
